hey folks!


i'm not sure who reads these things these days, but i've got a question/proposition for those that do!

as you may know, i play in a band called The British Columbians. at this point, i'm tired of the same old silly shirt design. i'd like more than just a black shirt with our little white logo.. so i thought i'd see if i couldn't ask the lovely talents of the people in this community. i know this is just through my journal, which probably doesn't go far, but i do know some amazing artists.. hopefully y'all read this!


so if yer interested in helping us out, we're looking for just a fairly simple design, one, maybe two, colour(s) to be put on whatever coloured shirt. it can be anything, really... i'm sure the other dudes would like it to reflect the band somehow, but i don't care so long as it looks cool.
i might be doing the silk screening myself, so simple is probably better, but i dunno. i've never done it before, so maybe it'll be good regardless.


of course, for doing such a huge thing for us, we'll obviously send you a copy of the shirt. realistically, we should send you however many you want (within reason). also we'll send anyone who gives it a shot, whether we use the design in the end or not, a copy of our cd. i wish it was a record, but we're working on it! heck, we'll even sign the darn thing if such an idea appeals to you.


so if you like, go to our website or our myspace and listen to the songs. take what you can from them, if there is anything. the site and the myspace don't quite have the image i have of the band in my mind, but they're something, i guess.

also, i am quite fond of the idea of perhaps asking people on here to make concert posters for any upcoming shows we know we have. that may be asking a lot. maybe not... the internet is an amazing place... who knows who might say "yes"?
